Audiobook News: Podium Releases A Man Called Justice on Audible

I’ve always enjoyed audiobooks, but now I love them because my eyes aren’t getting any younger.

Over the last few weeks, I listened to several excellent Westerns: Forrest Carter’s Gone to Texas and Sackett, Conagher, Kid Rodelo, Radigan, and Reilly’s Luck, all by my favorite author, Louis L’Amour. They were all five-star listens, but the best of the bunch was Reilly’s Luck, narrated by Beau Bridges. What a book.

When C.J. Petit’s audiobook publisher, Podium, picked up my audio rights, I was pleased–and pleased again when A.T. Chandler agreed to narrate the Silent Justice series. Chandler is very talented with a deep, gravelly voice and the accent of a true Texan. I enjoyed his narration of R.O. Lane’s fantastic Will Fain books.

Chandler exceeded my high expectations with his performance of A Man Called Justice, which is now available on Audible.

Justice Returns and Final Justice will be available soon, as will the audiobook versions of Destitution and Heck’s Journey.

I’m looking forward to them, which is funny because I hate reading my own stuff. If I pick up one of my eBooks, for example, I can’t go a single page without noticing something I wished I’d written differently.

When I listen, however, that doesn’t happen. I just sit back and let the narrator tell me a story.

How about you? Have you tried audiobooks? What do you think of them?

In case you’re interested, here’s a sample of A.T. Chandler reading A Man Called Justice.
